Blair -------------------------------------- Dana and Fox Mulder's Residence Annapolis, MD Wednesday, 9:30 a.m. One Week After Antarctica "Dana, are you sure you're all right?" Fox Mulder asked his wife, Dana Scully-Mulder, in their den. Mulder and Scully were back from Antarctica after he had saved her life by injecting Scully the vaccine; She was stung by a bee carrying an alien virus. Mulder was now concerned the alien virus might have harmed the twin babies that Scully's carrying. He was, however, that his wife is safe from harm. Scully looked at her husband, and noticed how his face grew with worry. She walked towards him for a reassuring hug. "I'm all right, Mulder, and there wasn't any harm to the babies." She paused as she gave him a kiss on the lips. "You saved our lives. I don't know what I would have done if you haven't." "I couldn't live without you, Dana," replied Mulder, honestly. It was true. He couldn't. "I know," answered Scully. "We'll never let anything like *that* happen again." She heard the phone rang, and then answered the phone. "Hi Samantha." "I am glad that you are all right. I was worried about you. Is Fox there?" Samantha asked. "Yes, he is," Scully replied. She handed her husband the phone. "Hi Samantha," Mulder smiled. "What's up?" "Jeff and I were worried about the both of you, and we thought that we could have dinner. What do you think?" "Samantha invited us for dinner. Are you up for that?" Mulder asked his wife. He was still concerned over what had happened in Antartica. "Tell Samantha that it's all right with me," Scully smiled. Mulder nodded. "It's all right with Dana. Let me know when, and we will be there." They talked for a few seconds, and then he hung up the phone. "Sometimes, I thought that I would never talk to my sister on the phone. I am still amazed that she's all right. That she's really here." "I can't believe it myself," Scully replied. "We have a lot to be thankful for. Us. Our children. Our family." "I wish that everyone was happy as we are," Mulder sighed. He was thinking of that dream. "Do you want to talk about it?" Scully asked. "I heard you last night, Fox." She was concerned for her husband. "You dreamt of when I was in a coma.." "How so?" Mulder asked. "You were screaming my name, Fox. You were so into the dream that you couldn't see me comforting you," Scully replied. "I am worried about you." "Do you want to hear my theory?" Mulder asked, as his wife nod. "I believe that I was in an alternative reality." "When I was in my coma, I didn't want to die," Scully replied. "You have me. That's why you said that you had the strength of my beliefs. Remember?" "Yes, I remember what I had told you," Scully smiled. "Why?" "This Scully doesn't have me," Mulder replied. "In fact, in that reality, Samantha wasn't abducted. I was." "Your sister must be like you when I first met you," Scully sighed. "What am I like?" "She's closed herself off emotionally. She doesn't believe that there's much hope to go on." "Fox, I would never want to die," Scully replied. "I think that Missy is right. She really is in a dark place. I know it's me. I.." "She may look like you, Dana. She is you, but she isn't you. The one that I fell in love with," Mulder sighed. "I know that I am not making any sense here." "You have to find a way for her to believe that she has much to live for," Scully answered. "Like how you saved my life." "It's hard, Dana. I guess you forgot the fact that in that reality, I'm missing." "You'll find a way. Don't you always?" Scully replied. "I hope I do," Mulder sighed. Northeast Georgetown Medical Center Wednesday, 9:00 a.m. Alternative Reality Dana Scully was in a deep coma from the aftermath of her abduction, and she was willing herself to die. That's what Melissa Scully saw when she read her sister's aura. That she wanted to die. "You are in a very dark place, Dana. I wish that I could reach you." She looked up and saw her sister's partner, Samantha Mulder, walking into the room. Ever since she had found out that her partner was back, she had been at her side constantly while trying to seek revenge on Dana's abducters. "She wants to die, Samantha." "Who told you?" Samantha asked. She was shocked. Dana was always seemed very strong minded. "Dana just now," Melissa answered. "I can't communicate with her literally, but I know how to read auras. I feel her in this room. She is in a dark place." "I can't feel her," Samantha replied. "You have to try to feel her," Melissa answered. Dana's Out Of Body Experience Wednesday, 9:00 a.m. Scully thought. She knew that these were horrible thoughts but she didn't care. She heard a voice calling out to her but it was her last name. "Scully, it's me." thought Scully. "Who are you?" "I am from an alternative reality where I am married to you--Dana Scully," Mulder answered. "I can't believe this," Scully replied. "There is no way that you can go into different realities." "Fortunately, for you, it's worth it," Mulder answered. "There's no way that I will ever get married," Scully replied. "There isn't anyone for me. Not now. Not ever." "You are wrong, Scully." "Don't call me that," Scully answered. "No one calls me that." "What does your partner call you?" Mulder asked. "Dana." "I call my wife that, but I used to call her Scully before we got married. I still call her Scully.." "She probably wasn't abducted and experimented upon," Scully answered. "Yes, she was. She was in a coma, but she told me that she had my beliefs," Mulder answered. "You don't know this, but you do have someone." "Who?" Scully asked. "I don't have anyone." Dana and Fox Mulder's Residence Annapolis, MD Wednesday, Noon "Fox? How did it go?" Scully asked her husband when he woke up from resting in their bedroom. She was in little Fox Jr. and Dana's nursery. "Not good," Mulder sighed. "Maybe you can help her." "I can't help her. She won't listen to me. However, you are the only one who can reach her..." "I wish that there was someone who loves her like I love you, Dana. I can't think of anyone," Mulder replied, as he looked at their twins. He paused. "Maybe there is." Fox Mulder's Apartment Alexandria, VA Wednesday, 1:00 p.m. Mulder was in his apartment, looking for a clue that could help the alternative Scully to stay alive. "I wish that I could find the alternative me for her." X-Files Basement Office FBI Headquarters J. Edgar Hoover Building Same day and time Alternative Reality David Mulder entered the X-Files Basement Office, and he was started to find Samantha's brother, Fox Mulder, sitting behind her desk. He was staring at someone who look exactly like him. In truth, David Mulder was really Fox Mulder. "Who are you?" "I am from an alternate reality. My name is Fox Mulder, but I think that you already know that. David Mulder, my ass. You wanted to change your first name when you had the chance," Mulder answered. "I had seen the anonymous letters to Scully." "*Dana*," David replied. "She wants people to call her by her first name." "Do you know she's back?" Mulder asked. "Yes, but she doesn't want me." "I'm sure she does. In my reality, I'm married to Dana." "How did you meet her?" "We were and are partners," Mulder replied. "We eventually got married and have children." He paused. "Your Dana Scully wants to die." "She can't die," David replied. "I won't let her die." "She believes that she has no one," Mulder replied. He looked at his alternate self. "You never told anyone of your existence. That's why you entered as David Mulder." "I didn't want to cause anyone pain," David answered. "I thought that they didn't care what happens to me so I took an assumed name." He paused. "I was wrong. I was wrong to keep looking at the past for answers." He paused. "I was ready to tell Samantha who I was. That's why I am here, but she's too worried about Dana." "Aren't you?" Mulder asked. "When my Dana was missing, I went through hell. I kept her cross and I searched all over for her." "I don't know her that well, but I gave my heart to her a long time ago," David replied. "You should convince her to live," Mulder replied. "I have to go now. Promise me that you won't let her die without a fight. She needs you. You are her Fox Mulder. In fact, you are me." Northeast Georgetown Medical Center Dana Scully's Room Wednesday, 1:30 p.m. Alternative Reality David Mulder, now Fox Mulder, looks at his alternative self on the other side of Dana's bedside. "I don't think that I could do this..." "You have to," Mulder replied. "You have to tell her how much she means to you. It's the only way. You to accept what has happened to you as well." "Will you be watching us?" David asked. "Yes, I will. Good luck," Mulder replied. He watched David grasp Dana's hands into his own. "Dana," David sighed. "I have two announcements to make. I had been horrible to you and Samantha. There is a reason why I look so much like Samantha's brother, Fox. It's because I am Fox Mulder. I entered the FBI Academy to find my sister, and when I found you, I fell in love with you from afar." He paused. "You know those letters that I sent you, it was me. I love you, Dana. I need you so much..." He paused. "I am here for you." Scully opened her blue-green eyes, and saw David. "David?" David took out her cross necklace, and handed it to her. "I kept this for you." "My necklace. I thought that I had lost it," Scully replied. "Someone...gave me the strength to live." "It was me," David replied. "I love you, Dana." He paused. "There's something else. I am not Samantha and Fox's cousin named David." "Who are you then?" "Samantha's missing brother, Fox," Fox replied. "I didn't want to cause anyone pain but no one knew who I really was. I thought it was best for people if I didn't tell them. I am sorry, Dana." He paused. "You are wrong when you said that don't have someone. You have me." Someone told her the same thing that she does have someone, Dana realized that Fox was right. "I love you, Fox." She does have someone to love as well as her fight to live. Dana and Fox Mulder's Residence Annapolis, MD Same day and time "Dana, did you ever regret us?" Mulder asked his wife as they were in bed. "Not for a second," Scully replied. "I love you, Fox. You know that." She paused. "I am glad that alternative Dana and alternative Fox had found each other at last." "Me too," Mulder replied. "I think that those two will be quite happy together." And they were. End of Story
