Day.

And yes, I do know St. Patrick's Day was several months ago. :) I

The first thing Scully noticed was lots of green: green 
beer, green clothing (shirts mostly), and of course, the 
"Erin Go Bragh" pins when she entered the small gathering 
of FBI agents at the cafeteria. She watched Mulder walking 
up to her and smiled at him. She frowned, knowing that she 
was unable to get in the celebratory atmosphere. "I guess 
it's the annual St. Patrick's Day party," she said, sarcasm 
dripping from her voice.

Mulder grinned. "Partaaayyy, Scully!"

She looked at him with a sigh. Deep sadness etched her 
porcelain features. "Whatever."

He grabbed a handful of green confetti from a dish and 
looked at Scully. "You don't look like you're in a partying 
mood."

"I know."

"Wow. You usually say, 'I'm fine, Mulder.' I guess 
something *is* wrong..." Mulder trailed off as he gazed 
into her eyes. He wondered what was wrong with his partner.

She drew a deep breath, frowning. "I don't know." She 
paused. "I feel so...lost. I know it's been hard ever since 
Emily -"

"It takes time, Scully." He paused and then lowered his 
voice. "Do you want to go someplace quiet with me?"

She nodded, silently thanking him for his beautiful, tender 
friendship. "I wouldn't mind at all, Mulder." 

And she let him lead her away from the noisy party to their 
basement office.
