Blair ------------------------------------ Abducted. I stood before the mirror, examining my scars from the abduction. I closed my eyes, remembering the anguish that I felt when they tore open my chest. I remembered the pain that I suffered at their hands. I used to be in control of my life. Now I'm not. I feel time slipped by and disappeared. Before I was abducted, Scully and I were just settling into our new intimate relationship as lovers. We dreamed of the possibility that we could become parents someday. When I opened my eyes, I learned she was pregnant with our baby. I suspected as much when she was overcome with dizziness and nausea in Oregon. Then I found out that she found out on the very day I was abducted. I should have been with her and our unborn child during the past six months. I'm going to protect my new family; they are my truth. Forever more. -- the end -- Feedback: Yes, please. Send to: eblair@sonic.net Author's Notes: This story was written for Beyond the Sea's 155 Word challenge. I'm using one element -- the word, 'mirror,' that was suggested by Toniann. I would like to thank her and the list members of Beyond The Sea for the support. This story wasn't exactly a new idea as I was working on a similar story called, "The Reason for Not Fitting In." I thought that I would shorten it for this story. I hope you guys like it. The longer story would be posted soon. I would like to thank everyone for your support. You guys are great! :) I also would like to thank my beta reader (and my writing mentor), Jen, for her support and encouragement of my writing. She has been there for me during my ups and downs.
